HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS |
|
|
| |
|
To help us properly diagnose and
treat your problem, you will provide a complete medical history and
information about your work experience. You will be given a blood test, a
chest x-ray, EKG, and a breathing test. These studies will give our
diagnostic team an overview of your physical condition as you start the
program. The tests will be repeated each year so that we can monitor any
change in your medical status. The Medical Director of the COAL WORKERS AND CHRONIC RESPIRATORY DISEASE PROGRAM
is a physician specially trained in respiratory disorders. The Medical
Director will examine your lungs and prescribe the treatment needed to
improve your respiratory condition. |
