Centerville Clinics Hosts Monthly Diabetes Support Meeting
The Diabetes Support Group, part of the Diabetes Education Program at Centerville Clinics, will meet Tuesday, April 13, at the Yablonski Memorial Clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Patty Johnson, a diabetes nurse educator who works with patients at several Centerville Clinics locations, said the meeting is open, without charge, to anyone with diabetes and to care givers. The purpose of the Diabetes Support Group meetings, she said, is to provide education and to be a support group where people can share their experiences, concerns or challenges.
At the April 13 meeting, Nicole Callahan of Bayer Healthcare, will talk about troubleshooting blood glucose meters. The talk will be about 30 minutes long, with the rest of the meeting focusing on interactive support.
The Diabetes Support Group meets monthly, on the second Tuesday of the month.
