How has COVID impacted your practice?
COVID has helped the medical field treat patients in different aspects. It has opened the doors to telemedicine services, helping patients understand the importance of their own health and ways they can improve. Additionally, it has opened the conversation on how mental health is affecting many patients.
What are the biggest changes you have seen in healthcare?
The biggest change to healthcare has been our swift response in allowing more telemedicine to be practiced and how beneficial it is to our patients. I have really been impressed with how various tele-medicine options have been made available, both inpatient and outpatient.
What is your passion?
My passion is education and advocating for patients. It is important that patients understand the diagnosis, medication and disease process. I advocate because, if I was in a bad situation or did not understand information, I would hope that someone would have compassion to help me understand.
Why did you apply to Centerville Clinics?
I applied to Centerville Clinics because I enjoy helping the underserved. I find it challenging and rewarding. Helping serve the community, helping people become healthier is one way to help make the world a better place.
What are you most proud of, whether in your practice or personal life?
I am proud to say that I have continued my educational journey to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Nursing. I want to inspire other individuals in their pursuit of education and nursing to help improve healthcare.
