How to Check in For Your Video Visit
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to sign up for an account?
No, as a patient, you don’t need to create an account with us to see your provider. You can simply go to your provider's URL (doxy.me/YourDrsName) that was sent to you prior to your appointment. You will check in, and your provider will start the call when they are ready.
How can I improve video quality?
- Restart your computer: restart your computer before your first call.
- Position yourself close to your Wi-Fi router, ensure no other devices on the network are using up bandwidth, and keep the number of browser windows open to a minimum.
- Ensure no high-intensity programs are running on the computer.
Is Doxy.Me secure?
All data is encrypted, patient sessions are anonymous, we can’t trace your device’s address or locate you, and no patient-specific data is stored or recorded. We use the AES cipher with 128-bit keys to encrypt audio/video, and HMAC-SHA1 to verify data integrity.
