What are the biggest changes you have seen in healthcare over the years?
Some of the biggest changes I have seen is the progressive addition of technology and information sharing to allow patients to have a larger role in their care. Telemedicine and the use of patient portals so that a patient has access to all their records can certainly open up communication between the provider and patient to come to shared decision making.
What is your passion?
My passion is to make a difference in my patients' lives and have them know that I will be available to them when they need me the most. I strive to remember to put the patient first and emphasize patient education and understanding of their conditions above all else.
Why did you apply to Centerville Clinics?
Centerville Clinics embrace a model of patient centered care which I have found lacking in other larger health systems as of late. The strong culture which was founded on serving those in need or underserved resonates strongly with me. A patient -first system of caring and compassion is something I am proud to be a part of.
What are you most proud of whether in your practice or personal life?
I have three beautiful boys who keep me motivated and striving to make myself better every day. They are 5, 7, and 11 and there is never a dull moment.
