How has COVID impacted your practice?
Dentistry has always been vigilant about Infection Control, and COVID brought that to the forefront. I was appointed to the Centerville Emergency Task Force and have been continuously reviewing the ever-changing PA Department of Health and CDC Guidelines to make recommendations and changes at our five Dental Clinics. Scientific research has shown that COVID is typically not being transmitted at Dental offices when appropriate precautions are taken, and that’s what we do.
What are the biggest changes you have seen in dental healthcare over the years?
Digital Electronic Health Records and Digital Radiology. Together, these changes have dramatically streamlined workflow and improved a dentist’s ability to assess problems.
What is your passion?
Since working in my father’s dental lab, my passion has been preventing cavities and gum disease. Both can actually be prevented and/or reduced by teaching our patients how nutrition, oral hygiene, and routine dental care impact their quality of life. My reward is getting to see a child, or an adult, change their habits to come back with a “no cavities” report.
Why do you practice at Centerville Clinics?
I practice at Centerville Clinics because the organization demonstrates its strong priority to care for those in need!
What are you most proud of, either in your practice or personal life?
I am most thankful for my family!
